Can those of you with programs that have a stipend attached chat in the stipend amount and the associated student commitment? For example, 14k/year for max 2 years = 2 year post-credential teaching commitment/year of funding
Jamie Chan
01:41:22
@Jennifer Bricken - Our programs range in funding and you can likely see it in our website and application forms: https://csme.sfsu.edu/education
Cheryl Ordorica (she/her/hers)
01:41:41
@ Jennifer Bricken 36K/3yr service obligation @ high-need school in U.S.
Danika LeDuc
01:43:41
@Malik, you are in a great position to help your students understand how environmental issues intersect with social justice and equip them to advocate for themselves in this sphere!
Jamie Chan
01:43:42
There are also a myriad other ways we support them financially through testing, cred. application reimbursement and support to get PD, etc…so the dollar amount is actually higher than is advertised in that sense. We also require students to apply for outside funding through scholarships and internships which further support their pathway. We support an an average of 40+ future teachers each semester in this way.
Cheryl Ordorica (she/her/hers)
01:44:02
Thank you, Malik!
