CSUF - Our campus updates are minor so summarizing via chat. We have a cohort of 15 faculty taking the APPQMR this month. We plan to have a Lunch & Learn for this group in April to help them explore next steps. We are hoping Academic Senate will update our very out to date online policy in the Fall 2019, but we've been trying to get senate to do that for a year, but GE has taken the whole focus this academic year. OET is developing a hybrid certificate program to launch in Fall 2019 for Designing for Blended/Flipped Learning.

Good Momentum Mihaela! Great to hear about the support from top level
Deb Perry
22:54
It’s great to hear everyone’s interest in sharing resources, thank you! I would also love to share our hybrid workshop materials (they’ll be done in April 2019) and our online course a little further down the road.

Good points Beverly. We will think about clarifying the "peer review" process too, as we've had faculty relunctant to participate in even informal reviews and maybe that is why and we didn't know it!
askylar
27:59
Good to record faculty who have gone through course certification and have them describe the process/value as and post on QA site…might help put a positive light on the “peer review” component
Glenn Pillsbury (Stan State)
28:35
What about “collegial review”?
askylar
28:52
good suggestion Glen!
Brett Christie
29:07
@Glen - like it
askylar

37:13
Glenn, We offer a small stipend for course certification, but I would not say it’s a large incentive.
Beverly B (Cal State LA)
37:14
If you scroll our photo carousel on our website, we feature our QM certified facutly. http://www.calstatela.edu/cetl
Megan Eberhardt
37:26
We offer a Stipend for program completion (OTPP) and are offer a badging pathway that leads to a certificate
Beverly B (Cal State LA)
37:40
I also write a congratulatory email to the instructor and cc dean and department chair
Deb Perry
37:41
I would say the biggest incentives are (1) personal goals of improving their teaching practice and (2) departmental resolutions requiring it
askylar
38:03
East Bay also does a great job showcasing faculty who have certified courses https://www.csueastbay.edu/online/training-and-certification/index.html
Deb Perry
38:08
We likewise write the congratulatory email to deans and chairs
Beverly B (Cal State LA)
38:18
The "incentive" is hard esp when they think going for "peer review" will be harsh (as I mentioned earlier)
Milica Markovic
38:25
We requested $$ to pay faculty
askylar
38:49
we send out Recognition letters to instructors and cc admin. that could be used in their RTP file

Do folks have resources on online activities faculty can see/read about to help mix up their activities other than discussion forum posts and quizzes?
askylar
41:02
Love the idea of featuring your campus peer reviewers on your site:)
