SLO campus update:Fall cohort of 15 faculty in our QOTA (Quality Online Teaching Academy) has completed our fall training. We've covered the QLT rubric, local Curriculum Modification forms for teaching online, and a few additional trainings. We're also conducting local reviews of online courses in preparation for formal reviews, but feeling very disconnected from the CourseMatch system due to our quarter system. Need to figure out how to address that with articulation issues & units. I'm on our senate committee to revise our online teaching resolution, and would love to chat with others who have been through this process to find out what your more recent resolutions say! Also, if you have an online course modification form, I'd love to see verbiage there.

HSU Update: Fall 2018 FLC on Re-imagining the Learning Experience. This was a blended experience where we added our Inclusive Teaching Guide threaded across course design elements, along with a course data dive into our Tableau dashboards. This was really enlightening for our group. Faculty each created a mini-presentation on their course redesign, identifying the “problem/opportunity” and specific feedback requested of their peers. We will highlight these faculty/courses at our Spring Symposium along with the second cohort in Spring 19.

We also worked on that element during our formal course review pilot- as developing a “user friendly” final report form is important for instructors as the reports can be overwhelming

We have a 4 week online intro to teaching online - is there a way we can have that course reviewed for approval as a replacement to the Q1?

QA Leads- if you can please discourage dual enrollment in more than one QA training in the same session that would be helpful :)

once a course expires and is NOT rectified - the instructor will need to remove the QM/QLT course certification logo; we have also removed the course when it expires from our CSU course certified list
