Thanks, Zach!

@Just Joe: That’s right, Fresno does have the history of working through the Boyer model - great. Would be interested how that is going from your perspective, years there.

I like having RTP based on the Boyer model, but it can lead to some confusion. For example, when we write narratives, we can organize into the Scholarship of Teaching, Discovery, Integration and Application, but it is often unclear to some how these interdigitate with the more pervasive view of our jobs as entailing Research/Creative activites, Teaching, and Service.

SSU has a long tradition of a spring Research Exposition. Would be curious to see if they have a SoTL strand/emphasis within that.
Stacey Anderson
01:03:02
I think it is directly addressed at my campus, CSUCI, but I think that folks would also like to see more acknowledgment of engaging in opportunities like CRT. At our campus, we have an umbrella term of “Scholarly and Creative Activities,” and there are some activities we engage in that could definitely fall under Creative Activities if framed properly.
Mark Gondree
01:03:03
Can you share that?
Zach Justus
01:03:04
That is awesome about the umbrella approval. I would love to see details about that afterwards
